Opal Vestina Mabry

Opal Vestina Mabry, 91, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on January 06, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Vestina was born on February 10, 1933, to Roy and Myrtle (Talley) Stroud in Broseley, Missouri.  She married L.V. Mabry on June 7, 1952.
Vestina was a loving mother and took great care of everyone she loved. When L.V. would be home in the winter he built homes, and Vestina would be right in the middle of helping with all the interior designs. Vestina enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, quilting, crocheting, and raising her children. She was a wonderful mother that was always pleasant and will be dearly missed.
Vestina is survived by four children, Doug (Sandy) Mabry, Randy (Brenda) Mabry, Darrell (Suzanne) Mabry, and Denise (Mike) Sprick; grandchildren, John (Laura) Mabry, Miranda Mabry, Matt Plunkett, Brent (Megan) Wagner, Sean (Lisa) Butler, Jake (Shannon) Sprick; great grandchildren, Hunter, Jayce, Helena, Millie, Ryan, Kami, Drake, Kasen, Sean Luke, Joshua Emmit, Caysen, Evalynn, Owen, Brayden, Lillian, and Ethan; and one great great grandchild, Weston; one sister-in-law, Betty Kelsaw; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Vestina was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Myrtle; husband, L.V. Mabry; and ten brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from noon-1:00 pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Byron Beck officiating. Burial will take place at Brown Chapel Cemetery.
