Nolan G. Hendrickson

Nolan Glenn ""Buster"" Hendrickson, 86, of Torrance, Calif. died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at his residence, in Torrance.

Mr. Hendrickson was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Poplar Bluff where he grew up. He was of the Methodist faith and a retired supervisor for Cal Avitran Aircraft, in Calif. Mr. Hendrickson was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II and receiving 2 bronze stars as well as a Good Conduct Medal. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post, in Lomita, Calif. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and dancing.

He was married to the former Dora Shelton. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include his long time companion and caregiver, Laura Jean Hoyt, of Torrance, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. Jean Dicken officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Hamtown Cemetery, in Butler County.
