Nicholas "Nick" Dwight Nelson

Nicholas (Nick) D. Nelson, 76, died Tuesday, April 4, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital after a short illness.

Nelson was born March 30, 1947, in Poplar Bluff. His parents were Chester and Nora Lee (Taylor) Nelson. Surviving him are his brother, Michael Nelson (Kim); four nieces, Staci Nelson and Amy Nelson of Florida, Jennifer Smith (James) of Fairhope, AL, and Krista Greenwall (Joe) of Poplar Bluff; ten great-nieces and great-nephews, J. Michael Greenwall, Dawson Greenwall, and Kolby Greenwall, Alexia Hollis, Eva Parker, Alex Farmer, Anna Greer, Caleb Williams, Aleya Williams, and Marco Williams.  Nelson was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Richard (Dick) Nelson.

Nelson was graduated from Memphis State University, now University of Memphis, with a BBA in marketing and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. He worked for various international architectural and engineering companies in management recruiting, spending time in Saudi Arabia and other countries.
