Myron Eugene Worley, 70, of Gillespie, IL, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 at the Hillsboro Health and Rehab Center, in Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Worley was born June 7, 1936, in Poplar Bluff to the late Ishmael G. and Mary Elizabeth (Ward) Worley. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Federal Barge Lines as a First Mate. Mr. Worley was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion Lodge, in IL.
On Dec. 1, 1959, he married Sue Francis, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Mickey Worley, of Eagerville, IL; two grandsons, Matthew Worley and Jacob Worley; two sisters, Barbara Hammon and Gretta Sue Dodd, both of Poplar Bluff; and two brothers, George Worley, of Naylor and James Worley, of Pocahontas, IL.
A brother, Donald Ray Worley preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 1997.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodlawn Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff
