Mose Harris, Jr., 53, of Poplar Bluff, died July 21, 2007 at the John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Harris was born August 23, 1953 in Kennett, Mo. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Harris was a member of the New Home Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and cooking.
On February 15, 2003 he was married to Ellen Lynette Glispie in Broseley and she survives.
Also surviving are 3 children, Phillip Murphy of Poplar Bluff, LaTisha Harris, and Kim Johnson of Poplar Bluff; 3 stepchildren, Shari Foster of Poplar Bluff, Peachea Sandu of Macom, GA and Vilisia Johnson of South Bend, IN; 8 grandchildren; his mother Lula Mae (Watts) Harris of San Jose, CA; 4 brothers Elijah James Harris of Los Angeles, CA; Nathan Harris and Frank Harris both of Poplar Bluff and Willie Harris of San Jose, CA; and one sister Noanna Wooley of San Jose, CA.
Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday at New Home Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral following at 12:00 noon at the church with the Rev. Ivory Dean officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
