Mildred Laverne (Harris) Redfearn

Mildred LaVerne Redfearn, 101 years of age, of Greenville, MO died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Jan 14, 2025.

Mrs. Redfearn was born November 22, 1923, in Brookport, IL to Allen and Elsie Harris. The oldest of six siblings, she had many responsibilities on the family farm before taking a job at Kroger where she met her late husband, Charles E Redfearn. They were married on July 9, 1950. The couple settled in Poplar Bluff, MO and raised two sons together.  Mildred was a skilled homemaker and a strong, steady matriarch who loved her family deeply. She always had an open door with a kind smile and a homemade snack to offer all who came to visit.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E Redfearn; grandson, Eric Redfearn; and siblings, Wayne Harris, Lyle Harris and Althy Ruth Phelps. She is survived by her sons, Allen Redfearn (Marsha) and Chuck Redfearn (Cathy); granddaughters, Jamie Redfearn and Andrea Hernandez (David); great-grandchildren, Gabriel Hernandez, Caleb Hernandez and Leah Redfearn; and siblings, Maxine Elder and Orlis Harris.

Mrs. Redfearn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
