Milburn Lee Ponder

Milburn Lee Ponder, 62, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on August 06, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Lee was born on February 28, 1962, to Milburn and Judith (Morey) Ponder in Doniphan, Missouri. He married Shannon Ramos on April 02, 2011, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Lee worked at Gates Rubber in Poplar Bluff for 41 years; during his time there he gained much respect from his co-workers, who referred to him as the "hardest worker" they knew. Lee enjoyed antiquing, collecting glass bottles and coins over the years. Lee had an appreciation for classic cars and a good afternoon nap followed by a coffee. He also took interest in genealogy and enjoyed researching his family tree. Lee also liked to spend his spare time outdoors. He will be missed by many!

Lee is survived by his wife, Shannon Ponder; four sons, Ryan (Holly) Ponder, Stephen (Cheyenne) Ponder, Matthew Ramos, and Eric (Alyssa) Ramos; two daughters, Jordan Ramos and Alexa Ramos; one sister, Janice (Dennis) Cooper; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; son in infancy, Andrew Ponder.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 09, 2024, from 12:00-1:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Bonnie Goins officiating. Burial will take place at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
