Michael C. Williams, Sr., or as most knew him, Mickey Williams, 81, passed away on April 11, 2025, at his home in Fisk, Missouri. Born on September 12, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan, Mickey brought warmth and joy to those around him throughout his life.
He was the beloved father of Michael C. Williams, Jr., Elisabeth Waters, and Kristopher Williams. He also leaves behind his sister Pamela Libla, grandsons Collin Waters, Bowen Waters and Winston Williams, and a seemingly endless list of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, that all held a special place in his heart. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Bea and Cluster Williams, as well as his sisters Brenda Brown and Sandy Vandermark.
Mickey had a gift for connection—he could strike up a conversation with anyone and often did, connecting as though they had always been friends. His ever-present smile and infectious laughter made him a welcome presence wherever he went. Whether chatting with a stranger or sharing stories with friends and family, Mickey had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and always leaving them with a smile.
To say he enjoyed spending time on the golf course is really understating his love of the game. And though he did enjoy exploring new places through travel, he deeply loved returning to Fisk, being surrounded by the family that he enjoyed more than anything…with golf close behind. These passions reflected his love of life and his appreciation for both quiet moments and grand events.
Mickey’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his laughter echo and his smile shine warmly in their memories for years to come.
