Maxine M. Conover

Maxine M. Conover, 86, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the residence of her daughter, in Arnold, Mo.

Mrs. Conover was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Mill Spring, Mo. She was of the Nazarene faith, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.

On June 29, 1946, she married Alfred M. Conover, in Corning, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy M. Matheney, of Arnold; two sons, Gary A. Conover, of Puxico and James L. Conover, of Evansville, Ind.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Audrey J. Allred, of Texarkana, Tex., Joyce Mitchell, of Poplar Bluff and Pauline J. Long, of Bourbonnais, Ill.

The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Greg Gilberto officiating and the Rev. Lou Hausser assisting. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
