Matt Kronz, 82, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Kronz was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Elk City, Okla., and was a member of the Catholic Church. He served in the United States Marines during World War II, and later retired after 22 years with the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. Mr. Kronz was a member of the VFW and Amvets Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
On Nov. 23, 1944 he married Juanita Ramsey, in Okla. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2006.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Laney and Denise Kronz, both of Poplar Bluff; a son, Mathew Kronz, of Campbell; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff with Father Kyle Hill officiating.
