Mary "Elaine" (Owens) Jenkins

Mary Elaine Jenkins, 90, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on February 27, 2023, at Oakdale Care Center.

Elaine was born on May 19, 1932, to Melvin and Donna (Hriber) Owens, in Browntown, Indiana. Elaine married Jimmie Ray Jenkins on July 18, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan.

Elaine was of the Christian faith. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making new creations. Her last occupation was her personal business called Jenkins Porcelain Dolls where she created porcelain dolls from start to finish, and even offered classes to others. She enjoyed raising and spending time with her children. Her greatest love in life was her beloved partner in crime, Jimmie.

Elaine is survived by two sons, Owen (Sherry) Jenkins and Randy Jenkins; one daughter, Jannette Overbeck; one sister, Maudie "Ellen" White; four grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany) Jenkins, Michael (Julia) Overbeck, Jennifer (Shannon) Nicolini, and Callie (Chris) Gabbert; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Caden, and Kaston Jenkins, Alex, Okeemah, and Lucas Nicolini, and Cassandra Beau Gabbert.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie Ray "Fiddlin Jim" Jenkins; one sister, Geraldine Cook.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 03, 2023, from 10:00-10:30am at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 10:30am with Chaplain Callum Reavey officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
