Mary Theresa Lampe

Mary Theresa Lampe, 77, of Symsonia, Ky., formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 at the Western Baptist Hospital, in Paducah, Ky.

Mrs. Lampe was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Edinburg, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Poplar Bluff where she was also a member of the St. Ann's Society, the KC'etts and a volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Mrs. Lampe had worked as a Teller for State Bank. She enjoyed gardening and as an avid sports fan she especially enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was married to Aloysius Charles ""Bud"" Lampe. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2005.

Survivors include her daughter, Julie Gambill and husband James, of Poplar Bluff; four sons, Charles M. Lampe and wife Sherry, Vincent J. Lampe and wife Cathy and John G. Lampe and wife Ava, all of Poplar Bluff and Thomas G. Lampe and wife Lori, of Symsonia, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Aaron Lampe and wife Rayann, Chad Lampe, Justin Lampe and wife Dawn, Jarred Lampe, Tyler Lampe, Austin Lampe, Adam Lampe, Andrea Lampe, Jacob Lampe and Ann Lampe; 6 great-grandchildren, Haylee Lampe, Ethan Lampe, Caleb Lampe, McKenna Lampe, Logan Lampe and Lawson Lampe; and two brothers, William Butzen, of Ottawa, Ill. and Frank Butzen, of Streator, Ill.

Her parents, William and Cecelia (Hillbrunner) Butzen, two sisters, Frances Rubenacker and Mary Louise Butzen and a brother, Bernard Butzen also preceded Mrs. Lampe in death.

Rosary will begin at 5:45 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff with Parish Prayers and visitation following. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Swalina officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
