Mary Inez Ellsworth

Mary Inez Ellsworth, 91, of Harviell, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Ellsworth was born June 9, 1916 in Piggott, Ark. She was retired in 1985 after 20 years of service as an LPN at the John J Pershing Veterans Hospital. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Word of Life Church in Fairdealing where she enjoyed working with the youth in the church. She also enjoyed her nursing career and working in her vegetable garden.

On January 13, 1934 she married Dawsey Ellsworth in Bloomfield and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1990.

Surviving are one son, John Ellsworth and wife Kathy of Harviell, 2 grandchildren, Lisa Dicken and husband Michael of Mason City, Iowa, and Daren Ellsworth of Poplar Bluff; 2 sisters, Loretta Cornell and husband Dick and Alfreda Sadler and husband Maurice all of Auburn Hills, Mich. Mrs. Ellsworth was also preceded in death by her brother, Bud Melton and an infant granddaughter, Daneil Ellsworth.

Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ron Clark officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
