Mary Catherine Armiger, 70, of Poplar Bluff, received her heavenly wings Sunday, Aug. 14. 2022, at Westwood Hills Health and Rehab Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mary, the daughter of Wilford Earl and Kittie Lou Lewis Kellums, was born Feb. 8, 1952, in Hornersville, Missouri. She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship and was a homemaker. Mary never met a person she did not like and loved talking with everyone. She loved being outdoors taking care of her plants and roses, playing with her dogs, and exploring caves. She loved drinking Pepsi Cola and loved to shop. Mary’s most treasured moments were those spent with her family and grandchildren, always being there for each one as they went through their trials in life. As her granddaughter said, “she just connected to each one of us in her own special way.”
On January 15, 1975, she married the love of her life Edward Dean Armiger, in Hornersville. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Keith (Stephanie) Armiger and Steve (Tracy) Armiger; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Katelyn, Andrew, Abigail, Joshua, Markus, and Heather; two great-grandchildren, Kysen and Saigelyn; and a brother Steve Kellums.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Debra Maxson.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Grace Christian Fellowship, 3200 Warrior Lane in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Brian sharp will officiate.
