Marvin Sylvester Moore, 86, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Moore was born June 2, 1920, in Hornersville, Mo. He was a member of the First Church of God and a retired Barber. Mr. Moore was also a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.
On March 27, 1949, he married Lila Mae Foster, in little Rock, Ark.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Rhodes, of Haines City, Fla., Roger Dale Moore, of Perris, Calif. and Kenneth Lynn Moore, of Texarkana, Tex.; three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Aretta Tucker and Virginia Taylor, both of Dexter.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the Dexter Cemetery, in Dexter.
