Margaret Elizabeth (Adcox) Kent

Margaret Elizabeth Kent, 79, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born on September 30, 1944, to Brice and Margaret (Goodfred) Adcox in Nashville, Tennessee. She married Jimmie Kent on August 05, 1986, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Margaret was an active lifetime member of Westwood Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff. She and Jim owned and operated Edgewood RV in the 1990's. They later went on to sell the business so they could travel and spend the winter months in Florida. She enjoyed camping, fishing, going for walks, and just spending time outdoors. In their younger years, Margaret and Kent were known to have "cut a few rugs" on the dance floor. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Jimmie Kent; three children, Daniel (Nicki) Healey, Missy (Tommy) Tucker, and Tricia (Bobby) Carpenter; four sisters, Patricia (JR) Reed, Deborah (John) Lyscas, Nancy Perkins, and Janet Hall; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Chie, Zach Surque, Carson Tucker, Brittany (Joel) Newberry, Ashli (John) Phillips, Tessa (Darren) Widner, Kenny Carpenter, and Samantha (Richie) Towns; numerous great-grandchildren; special family friend, whom she considered a son, Eldon Wagner; along with other extended family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrell Healey; sister, Joyce Harris.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 05, from 11:30am-12:30pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 12:30pm with Pastor Shawn Stricklin officiating. Burial will take place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at 2:00pm.
