Mamie A. (Strickland) Demaris

Mamie A. DeMaris, 84, of Wappapello, MO passed away Friday, August 27, 2021.

Mamie was born on January 2, 1937, to Frank and Nellie Strickland in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She married David Earl DeMaris on October 10, 1956, in Mississippi.

Mamie was a member of First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She liked to travel and was also content being a homemaker at her own home. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Mamie is survived by her husband of 65 years, David DeMaris; five children, David Glenn (Corey) DeMaris of Wappapello, Lynda (Lonnie) Wood of Williamsville, Brenda Antone of Las Vegas, Dale (Sheri) DeMaris of Las Vegas, and Glenn DeMaris of St. Louis; one brother, Garland (Barbara) Strickland of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mamie was preceded in death by her parents.

No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff.
