Ludean Osborn

Ludean Osborn, 83, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, April 21, 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Osborn was born May 15, 1924, in Hazelton, IN. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Osborn enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On Aug. 28, 1943, she married James Loyd Osborn. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Osborn and wife Sherry, of Paradise Valley, Ariz. and Kenneth Lee Osborn, of Williamsville; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Hudson and husband Oliver, of Dallas, Tex. and Judy Whitener and husband Warnie, of Fairdealing; a brother, Jim Thorn and wife Arlene, of Lake Charles, La.; and a daughter-in-law, Catherine Osborn, of Poplar Bluff.

Her parents, Charles Henry and Grace A. (Hunsaker) Thorn, son, Gary Lynn Osborn and brothers, Paul Thorn and Charles Thorn also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
