Lucille Chatman, 86, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. John's Regional Health Center, in Springfield.

Mrs. Chatman was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Midco. Mo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff and a homemaker. Mrs. Chatman previously had retired from the Dental Arts Group, in Poplar Bluff as housekeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening and canning and singing in the senior adult choir at her church.

On June 3, 1939, she married Everett A. Chatman, in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda L. Dicken and Verna Anson, both of Poplar Bluff; three sons, Rev. Charles E. Chatman, of St. Charles, Leroy E. Chatman, of Caulfield and Rev. Raymond E. Chatman, of Strafford; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Mae Sherrard, of Rockford, Ill.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery, in Butler County.
