Loyd Verdell Hoss

Loyd Verdell Hoss, Jr., 48, of Winfield, formerly of Poplar Bluff and Calvert City, Ky., died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Harry S. Truman VA Medical Center, in Columbia.

Mr. Hoss was born Nov. 12, 1957, in Gardenia, Calif. Employed as a cook he was also a veteran of the United States Marines. Mr. Hoss enjoyed spending time with his family and dog ""Lucky"", cooking and watching the races.

Survivors include his daughter Heather Hoss, of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Sandra Bagwell, of Rock Hill, SC and Mildred Tyler, of Belton; and a brother, Wayne Hoss, of Winfield.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Jimmy Gilbert officiating.
