Louise King

Dorothy Louise King, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. King was born July 29, 1923, in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Protestant faith and had retired from Lucy Lee Hospital. Mrs. King enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and reading, cooking and traveling.

In 1942, she married Elton C. King, in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1962. In 1963, she married Roy McCulley, in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1974.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Ladd and husband Bill, of Poplar Bluff and their children, Laurie Dale and husband Scott, and Bill Ladd and wife Paula; two sons, Ron King and wife Kay, of Scottsdale, Az. and their daughters Julie and Jennifer, and grandson, Trey; and Tim King and wife Kathy, of Loveland, Ohio and their sons, Tim King and wife Tryna and Matt King. A special friend, Gary Branstetter, of Poplar Bluff also survives Mrs. King.

Her parents, Robert Lee Reed I and Kittye Marietta (Holcomb) Reed; sisters, Lillian Humphries and Kittye Alyce Walker; and brothers, Robert Reed and Richard Reed preceded Mrs. King in death.

Visitation will be from 7 - 9 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Service, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel with the Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
