Lindell Wayne Cook, 68, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, January 1, 2021. He was born to Cloyd and Opal Cook in Poplar Bluff on August 5, 1952. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Lindell owned and operated C’s Delivery in Augusta for the past 20 years. Prior to that, he worked as a dispatcher and in the oils fields in Oklahoma with his brothers.
He was well known in the community as a generous man who would always help others in need.
He is survived by his son, Douglas, father, Cloyd Cook, Poplar Bluff, brother, Cloyd (Betty) Ft. Madison, IA, sisters, Gail Black, Willard, Mo, Judy (Larry) Jones, Dearing, GA and Amanda (Daron) House of Polar Bluff, MO.
His mother Opal Cook and brothers, James, Keith and an infant brother preceded him in death.
A brief visitation will begin at 11 am Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with funeral services following at 11:30 am. The Rev. Bobby Brooks will officiate. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
Starling Funeral Home, Harlem, Georgia and Cotrell Funeral Home of Poplar Bluff are in charge of arrangements.
Lindell will be remembered with love by his sense of humor, his unforgettable stories and memories by all who knew him, including nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
