Lillie Mae Reed, 77, of Broseley, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis.
Mrs. Reed was born Oct. 16, 1929, in Steele, Mo. She was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, in Broseley, a homemaker and a former leader of the 4-H Club. Mrs. Reed enjoyed spending time with her family, and sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening.
On Nov. 24, 1950, she married Ferdie Reed, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include 11 children, Windell Reed, of Houston, Tex., Ferdie Reed, Jr., of Gallatin, Tenn., Linda Joyce Thomas, Henry Colbert, David Wayne Reed and Mary Antoinette Reed, all of St. Louis, Sharon Kay Greenleaf, Patricia Lynn Reed, Kathryn Ann Reed and Karen Renee Reed, all of Kansas City, Mo. and Paul Reed, of Burlington, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ethel McGary, of Kansas City, Mo., Patsy Larry and Louise Jackson, both of St. Louis, Mo. and Ruth Ann Warren, of Broseley; and 3 brothers, Amos Arrington, of Kansas City, Mo., and Louis Arrington, Jr. and Leo Arrington, both of Broseley.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, in Broseley. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the church chapel with the Rev. Andrew Jefferson officiating. Burial will be at Morocco Cemetery, in Butler County.
