Lenora M. Ward, 96, of West Plains, formerly of Poplar Bluff passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Manor, in West Plains.
Mrs. Ward was born Oct. 29, 1911 in Butler County, and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School. She was a member of First Christian Church, of Poplar Bluff, and had retired as a Nurse's Assistant. She will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a blessing and will be greatly missed.
On Oct. 31, 1947, she was married to Harry Ward. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include five nieces, Bonnie Hartley and Vicki Wilkerson, both of West Plains, Ruth Ann Sifford, of Bloomfield, Jane Thomas, of Natchez, Miss. and Rose Mary Webb, of Frost Proof, Fla.; and many great nieces and nephews.
Her parents, James and Nellie (Pry) Thomas, sisters, Cleo Boxx, Frona Hartley and Esther Nation and brothers, Dallas Thomas and Paul Thomas and grandparents, John and Sarah Thomas and James and Charlotte Pry also preceded her in death.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with Dr. Steven Williams officiating. Burial will be at Sparkman Cemetery, in Butler County.
