Lee Bethel, 90, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Bethel was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Helendale, North Dakota to the late Charles and Ruby (Johnson) Bethel. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and had retired as owner and operator of B & H Auto Electric, in Poplar Bluff, Sikeston and Kennett. Mr. Bethel was a veteran of the United States Marines, having served in World War II. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and building bird houses.

On Jan. 5, 1969, he was married to Dolores Tidwell, in Kennett. She survives.

Other survivors include daughter, Cherie Ezell and husband Wayne, of Poplar Bluff; son, Steve Bethel; step-daughters, Phyllis Greve and husband John, of Poplar Bluff and Judy Mannard; granddaughter, Melanie Ezell; and step-grandson, Jerry Johnson.

Services with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum (City Cemetery), in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating.
