Lana G. (Howard/Dollins) Hill

Lana G. (Howard/Dollins) Hill of Poplar Bluff, MO died Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.  Lana was born on October 23, 1950, to Edward and Leola (Clore) Howard in Poplar Bluff, MO.

On May 2, 2010, Lana married Rickey Hill at Mount Nebo State Park located in Yell County, Arkansas.  To this union Lana brought one son, and Rick contributed four sons and one daughter which also added a large contingent of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lana was purposeful in the things she did.  She could be fierce and protective, earning her the nickname "grizz" for her momma bear attitude that shielded children and grandchildren.  Her strong belief in the power of Christ's sacrifice means that her life ended in the comfort of believing in a better day to come when pain and suffering will end, and we all join hands with our Savior for eternity.

Lana is survived by her children, Randall (Yvonne) Hill, Gary, Jr. (Catherine) Dollins, Bryan Hill, Jason (Dana) Hill, Shane (Magen) Hill, and brother Edward, Jr. (Kathy) Howard, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Candy (Hill) Pitcher.
