Kasey Jeanine Carter

Kasey Jeanine Carter passed away on March 13, 2022 at the age of 32 after a long and strong battle with brain cancer.

Kasey was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on January 30, 1990 to Bobby and Jeanie Kellogg Carter of Wappapello, Mo.  She attended Puxico High School and was a long-time resident of Wappapello, Missouri.

Kasey’s proudest moments were when she became a mother to Austin Jean Carter and Sebastian Jay Carter.  Their unconditional love is what got her through the last 3 years as she battled for her life.  She was a very strong-willed young lady and it showed throughout her battle with cancer. Her mind was ready to go to Heaven and be with her mom and dad; however, her heart fought till her very last breath for her two sons.

Kasey had an amazing love for all animals and especially the love of horses as she spent much of her younger years with them in her life helping her mom and dad.  She couldn’t wait to see what kind of horses would be in heaven, she planned to ride them all.

Kasey is survived by two loving sons Austin Jean Carter and Sebastian Jay Carter; grandparents, Betty Jean Kennedy , Raymond Bruce Kennedy; one sister, Rachel (George) Lewis; one brother Billy Taylor; six aunts Lesa (Lonny) Miller, Robin (Clayton) Sweo, Elizabeth (Mike) Harris, Mary Ann Kellogg-Edington (Johnathan Edington), Rose Lee Bunn and Martha Ann Spurlock; two uncles Brian (Denise) Kennedy, Marvin Edward Dukes Carter; two nephews, George Raymond Lewis III, Bruce Franklin Lewis.

Kasey was preceded in death by her parents Bobby and Jeanie Kellogg Carter; grandparents Albert and Cora Carter; three aunts, Lilly, Jessie, Louise Carter; three uncles, Walter, Charles and Donald Carter.

Kasey’s wish was to be cremated and placed by her parents.  Her father is buried in Pollard, Arkansas and her mother in Reyno, Arkansas.  A private service will be held to honor the memory of Kasey at a later date.
