Karolina Nicole Resnik

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Karolina Nicole Resnik, who left us on Sunday, September 08, 2024. Born on November 26, 2011, Karolina was a bright light in our lives and the lives of all who knew her.

Karolina was a gifted and talented young girl, whose autism was a unique part of her beautiful spirit. She had an extraordinary ability to see the world in a way that inspired and amazed us. Her creativity, intelligence, and kindness touched the hearts of everyone she met. Karolina enjoyed shopping, painting, cooking, and swimming. She loved to take car rides in the convertible, feeling the wind on her face. Her laughter, smile, and loving nature will be deeply missed.

Karolina is survived by her parents; Jeff Resnik and Dilcia Cantarero; two brothers, Teylor Cantarero and Trevor Resnik; paternal grandmother, Dianna Resnik; maternal grandmother, Maria Francisca; family friend, Prem Varma; nephew, Mkyllann Joel Cantarero Altman; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Karolina was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ronald Resnik; maternal grandfather, Arnulfo Cantarero.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church with Father Daniel Robles officiating. There will be no burial at this time.
