Julius Aaron Snider

Julius Aaron Snider Sr., 100, of Troy, MO passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at New Haven Care Center in New Haven, Missouri.

Julius was born on December 27, 1919 to Mason and Lou Ellen Snider in Delta, Missouri. He married Glida Meryl Gaines on May 2, 1941, in Dexter, MO.

Julius was a long-time member of Fisk Presbyterian Church in Fisk, Missouri. He was also a Mason at the Puxico Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and was quite good at all three.

Julius is survived by one son, Julius "Jay" Aaron Snider, Jr. (Jeannine) of Troy, Missouri; one daughter, Kathryn Stroder of O'Fallon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Stroder, Deana Stroder, Jaime (Wes) Ridgway, Travis (Sara) Snider, and granddaughter-in-law, Susan Stroder; along with eight great-grandchildren.

Julius was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers, Louis, Woodrow, Joseph, and Robert Snider; one sister, Hazel Gamblin; one grandson, John Stroder; and one son-in-law, Jerry Stroder.

A public graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00AM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Craig Hamilton officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the local Poplar Bluff food bank.
