Joyce Faye Hancock, 72, of Piedmont, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007.
Mrs. Hancock was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Poplar Bluff to the late Waverly W. and Ora Bell (Urich) Lane. She was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, in Patterson where she served in the Women's Ministries. Mrs. Hancock had previously worked in a warehouse and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and cooking.
On March 29, 1952 she married Richard H. Hancock, in Piggott, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Rita Kaye Russo and husband Michael, of Hazelwood and Sherry Debra Taslicky and husband Michael, of Piedmont; a son, Richard M. Hancock and wife Mary, of St. Charles; five grandchildren, Johnathan Martin and wife Becky, Rachel Jones and husband Mark, James Matt Martin and wife Sarah, Jason Hancock and wife Jennifer and Daniel Hancock; two step-grandchildren, Janet Sloan and husband Cary and Frank Russo and wife Sandy; three sisters, Neoma Klauka and husband Herman, Eula McBride and Sylvia Hurst; and two brothers, Luther Lane and wife Freida and Emmett Lane and wife Olive.
Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel, with Brother Darrel Loughridge officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery, in Broseley.
