Joseph Allen Butler

Joseph Allen Butler, Sr., 57, of Hopewell (Prince George County), Va. passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at his residence.

Mr. Butler was born Aug. 13, 1950. He served his country and retired from the United States Army in 1990.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Hye Butler, of Hopewell, Va.; daughter, Pamelea Chambers and husband Michael, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; son, Joseph A. Butler, Jr., and wife Deborah, of Churubusco, Ind.; 6 grandchildren; mother, Peggy (Sinden) Butler, of Poplar Bluff; and sisters, Pamela Stewart, of Poplar Bluff and Tressa Hornbeck, of Springtown, Tex.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. A graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery, in Bloomfield.
