John Dale Pickett

John Dale Pickett, 70, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Pickett was born Sept 4, 1936, in Doniphan. He had retired after 32 years as a theater manager for Kerasote Movie Theaters. Mr. Pickett was also a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and riding motorcycles.

On Feb. 26, 1954, he married Betty Armes. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Bob Pickett, of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Virgie McKnight, of Murray, Ky.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel, with the Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating.
