John Lee Griffin

John Lee Griffin, 54, of Poplar Bluff was found dead Saturday, July 12, 2008 in Butler County.

Mr. Griffin was born Aug. 11, 1953, in Poplar Bluff. He of the Baptist faith, and worked as a self-employed construction worker. Mr. Griffin enjoyed raising livestock and being outdoors.

Survivors include his daughter, Krista Anthony, of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters, Kenisha England and Kameelah England; four sisters, Evon Evans, of Chicago, Ill., Classie Rose, Lenora Rose and Frankie McGee, all of Milwaukee, Wisc.; and brother, Lonnie McGee, of Milwaukee, Wisc.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Johnny Williams officiating. Interment of Mr. Griffin's ashes will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
