Joetta (King) Kelley

Joetta K. Kelley, 88, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Saturday, August 05, 2023, at her home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Joetta was born on January 2, 1935, to Woodrow and Alberta (Robertson) King in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She married John Paul Kelley on May 22, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Joetta attended Poplar Bluff Schools and graduated in 1952. She was of the Baptist faith. She played piano and organ in church for many years. Joetta liked to cook and bake. Her food was enjoyed by all those around. She and John traveled all around the United States and had many adventures to tell of. Joetta enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards. In her later years she occupied her time reading. Joetta took pride in being a devoted and loving housewife to her husband John. She loved her family fiercely and will be sorely missed.

Joetta is survived by two sons, Pat (Lana) Kelley of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Rick (Jennifer) Kelley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Heather Bastean of Poplar Bluff, Ian (Randi) Kelley of Blue Springs, Missouri, Ryan (Malinda) Kelley of New Orleans, Lousiana, and Erin Kelley of Memphis, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Bradley McNew, Kyle (Kendall) McNew, Ben Kelley, and Claire Kelley; two great-great-grandchildren, Oliver and Juno Mae.

Joetta was preceded in death by parents and husband, John Paul Kelley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 09, 2023, from Noon- 1:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
