Jo L. (Bloodworth) King, 74, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on July 25, 2024, at The Arbors at Westridge in Sikeston, Missouri.
Jo was born on January 26, 1950, to Vivian Miller Courtright in Granite City, Illinois.
Jo was one of the first, female police officers for the city of Poplar Bluff and later retired as a Driver Examiner Supervisor for the Missouri Highway Patrol. She enjoyed golfing at the Country Club. Everyone loved her smile and enjoyed being around her. She was a very strong woman and an awesome mother that loved her family immensely. Jo will be missed by all her family and friends.
Jo is survived by one daughter, Angie (Tony)Yount; one brother, Clarence Courtright; two grandsons, Brady (Anna) Dunn, and Josh (Serenity) Dunn; three step grandchildren; two great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren; and one special niece, Sheri Hodapp.
Jo was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian; her husband, Larry Bloodworth; eight siblings and one great grandchild.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 5:00-6:00 pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO. with Jim Schremp officiating.
