Jeanette E. (Goodman) Mick

Poplar Bluff, Missouri (Formerly of Jefferson City, Missouri)

Mrs. Jeanette Evalina Mick, 82 years old, of Jefferson City, Missouri went to be with the Lord Thursday August 17,2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanette was born on August 28, 1940, in Caraway, Arkansas, a daughter of George McDaniel and Edith Goodman. She was united in marriage on August 31, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi to Jerry Mick, Sr. for fifty-seven years.

Jeanette worked for Jefferson City High School in the Food Service Department for over 35 years. She was a faithful member of the Concord Baptist Church for over 20 years in Jefferson City, Missouri. She served in the Meal Preparation Ministry.

Jeanette enjoyed watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals with her husband.

Survivors include: two sisters, Sue Wiiest of Brookland, Arkansas, and Ann de la Garza of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two sons, Reverend Dr. Jerry Mick, Jr. and his wife Jane of Bangor, Maine, and Daryl Mick and his wife Tammy of Waxahachie, Texas; one daughter, Tanja Mick Rose and her husband Ret. Colonel Douglas C. Rose, Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; six grandchildren, Ryan Mick, Renee Mick Wyatt, Aaron Mick, Allen Mick, Brittani Rose, and Austin Mick; seven great-grandchildren, Laycee, Giana, Westyn, Capri, Walker, Harper, and Emma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry, three brothers Jimmy Howell, Terry Howell, and Buddy Howell, along with two sisters Edna Howell and Gail Howell.

A graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery at 11 am Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Jefferson City, Missouri.
