Jason Scott Bell, 50, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Friday, April 04, 2025, at his home.
Jason was born on February 16, 1975, to Jerry Bell and Billie Cope in Chaffee, Missouri.
Jason spent his early years of life in Poplar Bluff and Advance before joining the United States Marine Corps. During his time in the service, he was stationed in Hawaii and spent time in Okinawa, Japan. He loved riding his Jeep and spending time outdoors. Jason loved listening to music and was an avid concert attendee. He was a Hank Williams Junior fan and known as a certified Bocephus extraordinaire by his friends and family. Jason was an incredibly kind, loving, and giving person. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need, especially his loved ones. He was a true family man and was so proud of his sons. His greatest joy in life was his granddaughters. To say he will be missed by all those who knew him would be an understatement.
Jason is survived by his father, Jerry (Linda) Bell; two sons, Tristen (Taylor) Bell an Jeremy (Haylee) Bell; two brothers, Keith Nunn and Chad Hale; two sisters, Tammy (John) Kassinger and Cheri (James) Burnett; three granddaughters, Emma Trube, Penelope Trube, and Riverlynn Bell; thirteen nieces, Jocelynn, Daisy, Ruthie, Ceilia, Violet, Millie, Makenzie, Elizabeth, Kirsten, Angie, Sheyenna, Cali, and Alexis; eighteen nephews, Seth, Hunter, Daylan, Dustin, Dylan, Ian, Liam, Milo, Jeremiah, Roland, Henry, Aaron, Doug, Waylon, Seth T., Jimmy, Elliot, and Brandon; canine companion, Buddy the Basset Hound; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Billie (Mike) Smith and nephew, James Jr. Burnett.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Cowan Cemetery in Wayne County with full Military Honors present.
