Janie S. (Watton) Reynolds, 56, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after an eight-month long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Reynolds was born Oct. 9, 1949, in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Baptist faith, and worked as the activity director for the Manor Care Center, in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge. During her earlier years, she was an avid volleyball player. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, acrylic painting, and as an enthusiastic exerciser she especially enjoyed walking.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheri Lynne (Arnold) Floyd, of Williamsville, and Autumn Lynne Watton, of Poplar Bluff; a granddaughter, Jade Elizabeth Floyd, of Williamsville; two sisters, Joyce Virginia Lagerway, of Blaine, Wash. and Rhonda K. Williams, of Poplar Bluff; her former husband and close friend, William ""Jim"" Watton, of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, Aven Anderson and Maudie Alice (Mallady) Birdsong, and a brother, Larry A. Birdsong preceded Mrs. Reynolds in death.
A memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff, with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
