Janet Sharee Johnson

Janet Sharee Johnson, 70, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Sugar Loaf, Ill. She was of the Catholic faith, and had most recently worked as a cashier at County Mart, and previously at Bluff Lanes Bowling Alley, local restaurants and quick shops. Mrs. Johnson was an avid bowler and enjoyed being with people and making friends.

Survivors include two children, Ronald Johnson and wife Connie, of St. Charles and Cherie Payne and husband Mike, of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Stacey Anderson and Erin Payne, both of Poplar Bluff and Rory Sisco, of Wappapello, one great-grandchild, Holden Payne; and her companion of 15 years, Don Polk, of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19th at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20th in the chapel, with Father Kyle Hill officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
