James "Jim" Edward Rousan Sr.

James “Jim” Edward Rousan Sr., age 77 passed away Wednesday, March 09, 2022, at his home in Ellsinore, Missouri surrounded by his children and family.

Jim was born on December 04, 1944, to Walter Malcom Rousan and Ola Viola Sutton in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. On November 30, 1963, James was united in marriage to Linda Sue Mitchem in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jim was raised in Desoto, Missouri. He grew up working in his father’s mechanic shop where his love of cars was born. He spent many years in Ellsinore, Missouri where he was self employed until retirement. He and Linda enjoyed traveling, going to flea markets, and camping trips with their kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed hanging out with his coffee buddies at Rick’s where many laughs and stories were exchanged nightly. Jim was of the Baptist faith and attended Straightpaths Bible Church.

Jim was survived by three children, James (Karen) of Ellsinore, Jeff (Dena) Rousan of Ellsinore, and Melissa (Greg) Morton of Jackson, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, James (Karen) Rousan III, Justin (Rachel) Rousan, Amber (Randy) Walker, Jeremy Rousan, Kristyn (Brian) Hopper, Aaron Rousan, Jennifer Rousan, Ben (Laura) Garrett, Cody Rousan, Colton Rousan, Zach Garrett, Cameron Rousan; one sister, Pearl Deloris Stouffer; twelve great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Sue Rousan; three brothers, Lawrence, Frank, and Gene Oker; two sisters, Mary Oker and Dorothy Goodson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at noon with Reverend Mike Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas.
