James Louie Waggoner

July 5, 1935 — May 17, 2006

James Louie Waggoner, 70, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his residence.

Mr. Waggoner was born July 5, 1935, in Tallapoosa. A retired plumber and electrician, he had worked for Foust Plumbing as well as Buffington Brothers Heating and Cooling. Mr. Waggoner was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading his Bible and doing carpenter work. Mr. Waggoner was also a veteran of the United States Army.

On Aug. 27, 1955, he married Geneva A. Lane, in Xenia, Ill. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, James Glen Waggoner and Charles Duane Waggoner, both of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2509 Roxie Road, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church with Pastor Glenn Marshall officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
