James Albert Galbraith, 50, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Gainesville, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Galbraith was born Dec. 15, 1955, in Blytheville. He attended Westwood Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff and worked in construction. Mr. Galbraith was also a veteran of the United States Marines. He enjoyed spending time with his family and woodworking.
Survivors include his daughter, April LeAnn Young and husband Bobby, of Little Rock, Ark.; a son, Justin Wade Galbraith, of Little Rock; his mother, Joyce A. (Kelley) Garner and husband James, of Poplar Bluff; a granddaughter, Hannah Galbraith; a sister, Patricia Dodd and husband Robert, of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Brian Galbraith, of Kansas City; and two nephews, Christopher Dodd and wife Janet, of Leominster, MA and Matthew Dodd and wife Stephanie, of Springfield, Tenn.
His father, Albert Junior Galbraith preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel, with the Rev. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, at Steele, Mo.
