James H. Faith

James H. ""Jim"" Faith, 78, a long-time businessman of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Faith was born Oct. 31, 1929, in St. Louis. He was of the Baptist faith, and owned and operated Faith's Business Equipment, in downtown Poplar Bluff. Mr. Faith was a member of the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce and Poplar Bluff Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and working at his business. Mr. Faith was also a veteran of the United States Army.

On Nov. 20, 1954, he married Crystal Robertson, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Faith, of Poplar Bluff and Cindy Bertrand and husband Tom, of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Mark Thomas Bertrand and Brandi Nicole Bertrand, of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Helen Gerry Williams, of Poplar Bluff.

His parents, Harold John and Inez (Mize) Faith, sister, Lola and brother, Donald preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
