Jack J. Ezell, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Ezell was born Jan. 16, 1934, in Grandin, Mo. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired as a truck driver and security guard. Mr. Ezell was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea, and was a member of the American Legion Post 630 and the V.F.W. He enjoyed camping, fishing and boating.
On March 27, 1963, he married Betty L. Dees, in Houston, Tex. She survives.
Other survivors include 8 children, Cindy Briscoe and husband Ray, of Poplar Bluff, Jackilynn Hill, Glenn Ezell and wife Linda, Debbie Taylor and husband David, Gary Ezell and wife Debbie, and Kelly Charanza and husband Jerry, all of Humble, Tex., Janie Leva and husband Ed, of Kemah, Tex., and Gigi Fruge and husband Dale, of Porter, Tex.; 3 step-children, Jay Bradley and wife Joyce, of Indianola, Miss., Rick Bradley and wife Carol, of Conway, Ark., and Cheryl Ann Albe and husband______________, of Tomball, Tex.;21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 brothers, Franklin Ezell and wife Coleen, of San Antonio, Tex., Wayne Ezell and wife Cherri, of Poplar Bluff, Johnny Ezell and Jessy Ezell and wife Ruth, all of Artesia, NM.
His parents, James and Elsie Marie (Walker) Ezell, daughter, Sherry Parker and sister-in-law, Wanda Ezell preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Everett Gunter officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
