Irene Anthony Kuehle

Irene Anthony Kuehle, 86, of Puxico, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 at the Beverly Nursing and Rehab Center, in Puxico. She had been in declining health since 1999.

Mrs. Kuehle was born June 11, 1921, in Advance. Having spent most of her adult life in Sikeston, she was a long-standing member of First United Methodist Church, in Sikeston, and had retired as an elementary school teacher. Mrs. Kuehle enjoyed studying and visiting The Holy Land.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Kuehle, of Wappapello; granddaughter, Carmen Kuehle; great-granddaughters, Trena and Raina Gardner; and sister, Lorene Irwin, of O'Fallon, Ill.

Her parents, Frank and Nellie Anthony and son, Michael Shae Kuehle preceded her in death.

Interment will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery at a later date.
