Henry H. Trentelman

Henry H. ""Hermie"" Trentelman, 79, of Poplar Bluff died July 27, 2007 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Trentelman was born September 20, 1927 in Neelyville to the late Henry C. and Elizabeth (Roberts) Trentelman. He was raised in Neelyville and lived in many towns in Missouri while working for Southwestern Bell where he retired after 33 years. Mr. Trentelman was a member of the Pioneers and C.W.A. Union. He also owned and worked on a farm. A member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching baseball games, bowling, traveling and was an avid fisherman. He was a veteran of the Navy, having served during WWII.

On April 17, 1970, he was married to Mary Ann (Clark) LeGrand in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gary Trentelman and wife Neshia of Fallon, Nev.; two stepsons, David LeGrand and wife Susan of Houston, Tex., Steve LeGrand and wife Charlotte of Poplar Bluff and one stepdaughter, Deborah Trumper and husband Jonathan of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Preceding Mr. Trentelman in death were his parents, one daughter, Marcia Shakley; one grandson, Gary E. Trentelman, three brothers, Armand, Roe, and Robert Trentelman, and one sister, Ollie Kersey.

A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Swalina officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
