Helen Geraldine (Faith) Williams

Helen Geraldine (Gerry) Williams, age 91, of Eminence, Missouri, died Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Rock Point Nursing Center in Birch Tree, Missouri.

Gerry was born in Rombauer, Missouri, on September 23, 1931.  She married Andrew ‘Andy’ Williams on October 6, 1951.  Together they owned and operated United Business Machines of Poplar Bluff for 42 years.

Gerry was past president of the PTA, an assistant Girl Scout leader (Troop 55) for 12 years, and a Cub Scout den mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff.  She was an active member of the Altrusa Club for many years and enjoyed being president of the local square-dancing club.  Her favorite times were her many trips to Europe and South America with friends, and to the National Parks with her family.  In her free time, she enjoyed quilting and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter Carol Childress (Dan) of Eminence, Missouri; daughter-in-law Yvonne Williams (Terry) of White Marsh, Maryland; three granddaughters Suzanne Seale (Don) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Danielle Childress of Springfield, Missouri; Christina Williams (Tom) of Grovetown, Georgia; and two great-grandsons, Andrew and Zachary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Andy, and son's Terry and Alan.

There will be a graveside viewing and service at 1pm Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Pastor Paula Moore will officiate.
