Helen Esther Anthony

Helen E. Anthony, 77, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Perryville, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at her residence.

Mrs. Anthony was born June 14, 1930, in Perry County, Mo. She attended Second Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Anthony was an avid animal lover (especially cats) and volunteered at the Humane Society.

Survivors include her daughters, Sue McPherson, of Dayton, Ohio and Linda Wright, of Tacoma, Wash.; son, Ron Anthony, of Poplar Bluff; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Imogene Blechle, of Perryville; and brother, Robert Martin, of Frohna.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel with the Rev. Luther Abbott officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
