Hazel Aileen (Barriner) Alexander

Hazel Aileen Alexander, 86, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Westwood Hills Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Hazel was born on June 7, 1934 to William and Pearl Barriner in Hendrickson, Missouri. She married J.W. Alexander Jr. on July 28, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Hazel was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, spending time with her family (especially her grandkids), word search puzzles, and her flower gardens.

Hazel is survived by two children, J.W. (Myra) Alexander III of Williamsville, Missouri and Sherri (Rusty) Divine of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Alexander; four grandchildren, Shawn (Christy) Alexander, Randy (Mackenzie) Alexander, Cyndi (Frank) Keele, Devin Alexander; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Alexander, Dylan Alexander, Marissa Alexander, Riley Keele, & Ozzy Alexander.

Hazel was preceded by her parents; husband; one son, Dan Alexander; siblings, Ruby Hodapp, Rosetta Rickman, Roy Barriner, Hobert Barriner, Margie Swift.

Graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
