Haywood Davis, 71, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Davis was born May 17, 1936, in Sumter, SC. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired after 35 years with the Poplar Bluff City Street Dept. as a foreman. Mr. Davis enjoyed spending time with his family, and hunting and fishing.
On March 5, 1976, he married Yvonne White, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include seven children, Anthony White, Lesia Adams, Zachery Warren, and Bryce Davis, all of Poplar Bluff, Sheila Pollard, of St. Louis, Steven Lee, of Kansas City and Denise Davis, of Calif.; 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lizzie Weaver, of Poplar Bluff and Roberta Walker, of Sanford, Fla.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. James Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
